Development & Executive Assistant
Founded in 1945, the San Diego County Taxpayers Association seeks a full-time Development & Executive Assistant to join our team beginning in November 2018 (potential opportunity for an earlier start date), under the supervision of the Operations Director.
This position requires experience, discretion and the flexibility and agility to juggle multiple competing projects and priorities at any one time, while meeting tight deadlines. Excellent organization, immaculate attention to detail, and written and public interaction skills are required. Occasional nights and weekends may be necessary.
Position Responsibilities
Manage and prepare President & CEO’s schedule
Schedule, plan and staff meetings and events including preparation of logistical details and accurate tracking of RSVPs and registrations
Research and develop leads for new membership, sponsorship, KPI, program, and philanthropic prospects
Conduct business development research for KPI Program sales leads
Plan and execute event logistics
Plan and execute event content
Conduct periodic reviews of prospects with Operations Director and President & CEO
Determine and prepare action items for self, Operations Director, and President & CEO to maximize sales
Create reports and meeting materials and prepare for Membership & Events Committee meetings
Liaise with Vice Chair, Membership and Vice Chair, Events and prepare talking points, reports, and meetings for them as needed
Update and maintain Customer relationship management (CRM) database
Update contact databases and maintain membership information
Update website content as needed
Plan and execute marketing and outreach for events, programs, and overall organization brand
Conduct membership and volunteer management
Perform administrative duties as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven skills and experience as an Administrative/Development Assistant and/or Sales experience (this is not an entry-level position)
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and to work well independently and on teams
High level of professionalism and ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders and board members
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
Adaptable to balance competing demands
Very strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Self-starter and self-motivated professional who is able to handle and prioritize several tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce preferred
Ideal candidate will have experience with sponsorship and membership recruitment, management and prospecting, as well as experience using Salesforce as a management and logging tool.
Benefits include:
Salary range $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience
