SDCTA Statement on Changes to AB 3119
Haney Hong, President and CEO of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association, released the following statement today:
“The Taxpayers Association supports collaborative planning efforts for the region to address the airport’s challenges like climate change and traffic congestion. Our Association has consistently advocated for public agencies to set clear goals that help measure and track their progress.
The Airport Mobility and Sustainability Committee could improve the public’s understanding of the resources available to develop cost-effective mobility options. Before we decide if the Airport Authority needs major changes to its governance structure, we should get a better sense of how they and the Port District are currently performing. This committee could help do just that, and we will continue to take part in these discussions on behalf of San Diego’s taxpayers.”
