PROS Board Exposes Draft Standard on Rapid Exits to Permanent Housing for Public Comment

Draft rule would provide clarity in the results of efforts to use clients’ networks for exits to permanent housing

San Diego, CA (May 04, 2023) – The San Diego Taxpayers Educational Foundation’s year-old Public Regional Outcomes Standards (PROS) Board has exposed a draft standard which, if approved, will be the Board’s 6th published rule. The exposure draft would create transparency in efforts to help clients use independent resources to exit into permanent housing.

“We know in our region that more people fall into homelessness than leave,” said Gregory A. Stein, chair of the PROS Board and CEO of Shadowbox.  “This rule will enable consistent measurement and reporting of rapid exits to help the community identify opportunities to scale the most effective programs.”
