Marketing Intern
Position Description
The San Diego County Taxpayers Association (SDCTA) is seeking a Marketing intern to assist with marketing events and programming for SDCTA and its related entity, the San Diego Taxpayers Educational Foundation (SDTEF). The intern will primarily be responsible for marketing SDTEF educational programming. Tasks may include:
Planning marketing efforts for a specific event or course
Drafting social media posts and captions
Drafting marketing emails targeted towards specific audiences
Assistance with administrative processes (answering phones, updating contact lists, etc)
Other tasks as assigned
This is the ideal internship for a student pursuing a career in marketing, communications, public affairs, public relations, politics, or non-profit management.
Qualifications
Current undergraduate students, masters students, and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Coursework or professional experience in political science and communications strongly preferred
Strong graphic design skills (specifically Canva)
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Other Information
Although this is an unpaid position, students may earn academic credit for the internship through their university’s internship program office.
Interns typically work 10-20 hours per week, but can work more if desired.
SDCTA is a hybrid workplace. Interns have the option to work fully remotely, in-person, or hybrid.
