SDCTA Supports the Proposed SANDAG Purchase of the South Bay Expressway

SANDAG's purchase of the toll road is preferred as an alternative to the current plan to achieve the same level of service on the I-805 by constructing two managed lanes on the I-805 between SR 905 and SR 54. The purchase is expected to allow for a reduction in tolls to a level that would equally relieve I-805 congestion as the current plan and save $268 million.
