SDCTA 2016 School Construction and Professional Services Procurement Best Practices

In April 2011, the San Diego Taxpayers Educational Foundation published a study (School Facilities Bond Programs in San Diego County) reviewing the performance of school facilities bond programs throughout San Diego County. This report analyzed the procurement policies and practices of all school districts in San Diego County with active school bond programs and determined that several steps could be taken by school districts to improve the transparency and objectivity of their procurement processes. This best practices document was developed in response to the findings of this report.
